Tell me a book that surprised you in the best way! ✨

Read 003 of 2022 | Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim

Six Crimson Cranes definitely surprised me by becoming one of my favourite books I've read so far this year! I was so immersed in this fairytale-like story and loved rooting for our main character Shiori! The romance was so so sweet and all of the side characters were amazingly done, along with our very multi-faceted villain!

This was the @readincolourbookclub pick for January and I'm so glad we read it because I think a lot of us had loads of fun with it!

I'd recommend this to anyone who loves fairytales and resilient heroines with gumption! I cannot wait for the next book in the series called The Dragon's Promise which introduces a whole new host of problems for Shiori and centres a side character from book 1 that I know many of us in the @readincolourbookclub loved!
