Dust Settles North is ONE YEAR OLD!!! 🥹❤️ a year ago today, I got to celebrate the release of Deena ElGenaidi’s debut novel in NYC and smash a piñata with the book’s cover on it 😂 I am SO SO proud of this book and of my very first author published under Boundless Press 🫶🏾 Deena is such a talented writer and I thank every star that she chose to take a chance on my new imprint and allow me to usher this incredible book into the world.

Dust Settles North was the first book to fully articulate how I felt growing up as a diaspora kid, wanting to understand my parents’ history, and feeling a connection to a homeland with a fraught political reality. It encompassed all the ways you can belong to two places and still feel like you belong nowhere. I love this book with all my heart and I hope that if you haven’t picked it up yet that you will soon ❤️
