We've all been there before where we can't remember what happened in the book we read or movie we watched and many of us have also been struggling to think critically in a world where incendiary opinions and social media have rotted our brains to seek immediate pleasure. This is where a Critical Media Journal may be helpful for you.

A Critical Media Journal is essentially what it sounds like—a journal where you write down your thoughts about any piece of media (books, tv shows, movies, films, articles, essays, etc) and where you distill those thoughts into meaningful critical analysis. For the Anti Brain Rot Reading Challenge, the Critical Media Journal will hopefully allow you to not only record your reactions/thoughts as annotations or jot notes, but also help you sit with your opinions of media before you seek out other reviews and before you share your own. 

The Anti Brain Rot Reading Challenge is a year long reading and critical engagement challenge to help combat brain rot and prevent endless doomscrolling. The challenge focuses on consistency, consuming diverse media with intention, and forming your own opinions.

During this phase, we're reviewing manuscripts and deciding which book we want to publish. At the end of this phase, we offer an author a book deal.

Consideration

As the manuscript goes through several phases of editorial work, the cover and interior design takes place, while format decisions about paper stocks and printing treatments are made.

Editorial & Design

While the books are on press, the pre-order links go live and the marketing campaign ramps up with waves of review copy mailings to media and influencers.
