#Pitchfest is a seasonal event hosted by @bindery_books for authors without literary agents to submit their unpublished materials to tastemakers for consideration. Submissions to select Bindery tastemakers (including ME) are open April 9th-11th. Links to submit go live on April 9th. More details can be found here —> https://binderybooks.com/pitchfest/

I am hoping to find our next Boundless Press title through this Pitchfest so I can't wait to see your pitches!!

Boundless Press (Jananie K. Velu aka @thisstoryaintover) is currently seeking unconventional adult literary fiction that leans into messy, unreliable BIPOC protagonists, or speculative fiction that is heavily centered on real-world issues, particularly from Black, South Asian, or Arab voices.

Resonant themes: generational trauma, mental health/mental illness, queer POC experiences, colonization, class privilege, and found family. We are NOT seeking high fantasies. romantasies, or traditional HEA romances at this time (though that doesn’t mean we won’t in the future!).

🚨Note that Pitchfest is not a contest, but an open submissions window. Tastemakers may or may not choose to move ahead with one of the submissions from this opportunity.

The following Bindery titles were all discovered through prior Pitchfest events: House of Frank by Kay Synclaire, Crueler Mercies by Maren Chase, Of Monsters and Mainframes by Barbara Truelove, To Bargain With Mortals by R. A. Basu, and Recipes for an Unexpected Afterlife by Deston J. Munden. Make sure to check out the wishlists of the other tastemaker imprints as well!
